AARA is
dedicated to serving the Acadiana Region of
Club Events 2023 Winter Field Day January 28, 2023
The AARA will be participating in this years 2023
Winter Field Day event. This 24 hour event will be held nationwide
the weekend of January 28 - 29, 2023. However, club activities are
planned only for Saturday, January 28 at the farm of Steve (AF5VR) and
Mel Webre in Church Point, LA. Everyone is encouraged
to participate in the club activities on Saturday as well as from their own station anytime during the 24 hour

2023 Winter Field Day. 2023 ARRL Field Day June 24 - 25, 2023 The AARA plans to conduct 2023 Field Day activities at the farm of Steve AF5VR and Mel Webre in Church Point, LA. During the 24 hr period of this event, amateur radio operators across the United States and Canada operate from remote stations and attempt to contact as many stations as possible. The event is open to the public including non-licensed persons interested in learning about amateur radio. October 6 - 8, 2023 135 mile three day canoe race Port Barre, LA to Berwick, LA The AARA anticipates it will be providing communications support at various checkpoints along the race route for the annual Tour du Teche canoe race.
