Travis MC Kee W5JIF became a silent key Friday December 30th.
The wake(visitation) will be Thursday January 5th at 10 A M with the
funeral starting at 2 P M at the Christ Baptist Church on Tunnel Blvd
in Houma.

Travis McKee - W5JIF - Silent Key

Travis McKee, 76, a native of El Paso, Texas and resident of Houma, died 
at 4:15 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2011.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Christ 
Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the 
church, with burial in Matherne Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Matherne McKee of Houma; 
brothers, William J.W. Edens Jr. of El Paso, Texas and Gregory M. Edens 
of El Paso; sisters, Eddith Edens McAlanis of Fort Worth, Texas and 
Paula Edens Davis of El Paso; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William J. W. Edens Sr. and 
Denia McKee Edens; grandparents, Roy C. McKee and Vera McKee; and 
brother, Richard A. Edens.

He was a member of Christ Baptist Church. He loved to serve in his 
church in music ministry and visiting the nursing home residents. His 
favorite pastime was his HAM radio and he enjoyed playing the piano.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
