The USS KIDD will also be operating on Dec. 7th. The museum is open from
9:00a.m. 'til 5:00p.m.

Subject: Special Events Coming Up

SKYWARNTM Recognition Day was developed in 1999 by the National Weather
Service and the American Radio Relay League. It celebrates the contributions
that volunteer SKYWARNTM radio operators make to the National Weather
Service. During the day SKYWARNTM operators visit NWS offices and contact
other radio operators across the world.  Numerous National Weather Service
stations will be operating on all amateur bands. 

Exchange: Call sign, signal report, QTH, and a one or two word description
of the weather occurring at your site ("sunny", "partly cloudy", "windy",
etc.).

Santa's Workshop at the North Pole, Santa makes his annual special trip to
OCARC and Newburgh for Santa Net. Santa will be on the air to speak with all
good boys and girls available with any ham. The event is held AT Adams
Fairacre Farm's Newburgh, NY location; any children in the store may speak
with Santa through handheld. Everyone speaking with Santa will receive a
special QSL card, mailed to the address of the call sign making contact,
