*AARA AMOS EQUIPMENT ASSET AUCTION
AARA August General Meeting @ 7:00 PM

As discussed and voted upon at the JULY AARA General Club meeting, I am sending this email notifying all of you about the following items the club has decided to sell.  According to the AARA By-Laws all club assets for sale must first be offered to club members.  If there are no offers, the Board decides what to do with the equipment.

An e-mail was sent out on July 5,2015 e-mail.

Item 1

AMOS -  $1500.00. The operation of AMOS became cost prohibitive given the frequency of use.
It runs good, and the club has over recent years performed repairs.  It needs some TLC, but no major mechanical issues.  All amateur radio equipment will be removed prior to sell.  Sold AS-IS after removal of equipment.
   The listing via this email is for 7 days and expires on JULY 12 at 24:00.  After expiration of listing, club members are encouraged to solicit a sale from non-club members.  Proceeds will be deposited into the general club fund for use determined by the club.  For additional info, contact AARA Board members atboard at w5ddl.org.

Item 2
   
Small Generator
This generator was used to power the cabin AC in AMOS.  Estimated to be approx. 3KW but uncertain as the serial tag is worn and unreadable.  If anyone knows for sure, let me know.  The engine is not frozen. May need some repair.  It will be auctioned at the AUG club meeting, you must be present to bid.  Sold AS-IS


Item 3

Old 147.040 repeater
Its current condition is unknown and was not fully functional when replaced with the new repeater in Duson.  Included is everything in the photos.  It will be auctioned at the AUG club meeting, you must be present to bid.  Sold AS-IS.

We will also have additional items that we will bring to the AUG meeting for auction.  Hope to see you there.

* July 2015  VE Test Results*
This is the results of the VE Test Session held on July 2, 2015 at 6:00 
PM at the Red Cross Building prior to the AARA General Meeting. Due to 
some kind of holdup with the Post Office or the FCC the results did not 
show up on the FCC database until August 3, after 6:00 AM and therefore 
did not get published in the August LARC issue. Benjamin P. Anding 
KE5ZZJ of Eunice, LA upgraded to General. Troy Deville of Pine Prairie, 
LA received his Technician License and the call:  KG5IRK Quinn M. 
Johnson of Opelousas, LA received his Technician License and the call:  
KG5IRJ Jeff M. Trahan, of Lafayette, LA received his Technician License 
and the call KG5IRI Dustin P. Vidrine of Opelousas, LA received his 
Technician License and the call KG5IRH VE's present to aid testing were: 
Greg K5LFT, Tom W5OHJ, Galen KF5BET, Ric KF5KEL & Dave N4ELM.
