[AARA] Vibroplex bug help

     Happy New Year. I'm hoping you can lead me in the right direction 
or share this on your reflector.
     I recently bought a used, Vibroplex Deluxe chrome bug for CW. Is 
there anyone in the Lafayette area that could help me complete the set-up?
     The "dahs" sound crisp and clean. But the "dits" are muddy and hard 
to read. I've read many articles and watched YouTube videos. But nothing 
seems to help.
     The seller advises he had no problems. I can bring to any local ham 
who is willing to help.
