The December 2023 General Meeting will be held December 7th at Candyland 
Cottage & Ice Cream Shoppe <https://candylandcottage.com/>.
This will be a “non-business “ Christmas Party Meeting.Chris Ancelot 
N5MCY will be serving his “famous
homemade chili” as the main course.

                         2023SKYWARN Recognition Day
December 2, 2023from 0000z to 2400
SKYWARN™ Recognition Day was developed in 1999 by the National Weather 
Service and the
American Radio Relay League <http://www.arrl.org/>. It celebrates the 
contributions that volunteer SKYWARN™ radio operators make
to the National Weather Service <https://www.weather.gov/lch/>. During 
the day SKYWARN™ operators visit NWS offices and contact other
radio operators across the world.

Date: Saturday December 16, 2023
Time: 8:00 am - 2:00 pm
Admission:$10.00 - includes 1 door prize ticket
Talk-In: 147.300 or 444.650 PL 186.2
VE Exams: Begins at 9:00 am Registration Required
Location: Minden Civic Center
520 Broadway St.
Minden, Louisiana  71055
Tickets:
Tickets may be obtained from any member or contact Fran, KD5LKB, or 
Dustin, W5CFI (email addresses at
  'Contact Us' on main menu strip, top of page).
Entrance tickets are $10 each (includes 1 prize ticket), available at 
door at the hamfest.
Prize tickets for the drawings are available at door or from club 
members and are priced:
$1 each, 6-$5, 15-$10, 35-$20, 50-$25, 100-$50.
Tables:$15.00 per table for those who wish tosell merchandise. (To 
reserve swap tables, contact
on our "Contact Us <https://www.n5rd.com/contact-us/contact-n5rd>"page.)

Door Prizes: (Must be present to win)
Great hourly door prizes drawn throughout the day!
Grand Prizes: (Must be present to win)
1st Prize - $1250 MTC store credit or $1000 cash.
2nd Prize - $500 MTC store credit or $400 cash.
3rd Prize - $250 MTC store credit or $200 cash.
