Field Day Event.  More bulletins to follow.  This year our FD is more or 
less geared on emergency communications.  We invite anyone hams or 
non-hams to visit our FD event as soon as the location is announced.

THIS IS A DRILL

Tuesday June 12^th .

Kaboudreaux has been upgraded to a CAT 2 Hurricane. Landfall expected to 
be in the area between Beaumont, TX and New Orleans, LA .

NHC expects Kaboudreaux to be a CAT 3 by Wednesday morning. Food, beer, 
gas, batteries and bottled water is in short supply. . Oil prices reach 
$130.00 BBL

Following AARA's emergency plan for hurricanes, AMOS and the club's 
antenna trailer have been moved North into St Landry Parish. Most Acadia 
Amateur Radio Operators will EVAC, but will maintain contact with each 
other during this emergency using the following predetermined frequencies.

80 Meters????Mhz.

40 Meters????Mhz.

20 Meters????Mhz.

NHC - BOHICA continues to gather strength and organize due to higher 
than normal water temperatures in the Gulf of Mexico.
