Obituary
Walter A. "Bill" Jones, "Walt", 98, born April 25, 1914 passed away on
May 26, 2012. He was native of Columbia, Mississippi and resident of
Denham Springs, LA. He was a long time parishioner of Immaculate
Conception Catholic Church in Denham Springs, LA. He was a Knight of
Columbus- Council 6326, a Ham radio operator- KC5XC, and a member of the
Baton Rouge Amateur Radio Club. He retired from the East Baton Rouge
Parish School system as Assistant Supervisor of Maintenance. Bill was
called home to join his wife, Lessie Lee, who passed away on Sept. 14,
2011 after 72 years of marriage. He was a loving husband, devoted father
and...

May 26, 2012. He was native of Columbia, Mississippi and resident of
Denham Springs, LA. He was a long time parishioner of Immaculate
Conception Catholic Church in Denham Springs, LA. He was a Knight of

and grandfather. He is survived by his children: Sandra Dixon and
husband Lyle, Curtis Jones and wife Brenda, and Sharon Harman and
husband Lyle; 7 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 1 great great
grandchild. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 28, 2012 at Greenoaks
Funeral Home from 5pm until 9pm with a rosary to be said at 7pm with
visitation on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic
Church from 8am until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Interment will
follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Ronn Dixon, Sr.,
Kevin Jones, Kerry Jones, Jeffrey Harman, Mason Weaver, and Ronn Dixon,
Jr. The family would like to thank the Oschners ICU unit and St. Joseph
Carpenter House Hospice for the kind and gentle care of our father.
