Group as an update to my request for assistance to help find the call
letters of Scotty Bernard, the young ham radio operator killed in
Hurricane Hilda while doing Emergency assistance -
I have been able to contact his niece and Godchild in Erath, La and she
will be providing assistance. From her email Scotty's mother is alive
and I have asked her to try and find a QSL card or logbook or even a
license.

I have also received a lot of help from QCWA members directly looking
through callbooks, QST SK reports, and other areas and I wish to thank
all of them. That is still on going.

In addition I have received helpful contact from ARRL EC personnel and
some of the OT's on this list..

I am really hoping that out of all of this we can confirm that he was
licensed as a ham and find his call letters allowing ARRL to consider
placing his name on the memorial at HQ.

Again thanks to all who helped and I hope to soon report success in this
matter.
