Herman, please accept this request to put a call out to the Louisiana 
Section for ham operators to assist the Boy Scouts.

Specifically; *"The Istrouma Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America 
is requesting assistance with backup communication at the Avondale Scout 
Reservation, Clinton, LA during ScoutFest, Oct. 3 thru Oct. 5, 2014.  
The communication plan is to use 2 meter SSB (USB), 146.580.00 utilizing 
ham radio operators to communicate between Avondale Summer Camp Dining 
Hall (the event and Northern HQ) and Magee Lake Pavilion (Southern HQ).  
There are expecting nearly 4,000 participants to experience a weekend of 
adventure and fun with 84 exhibitors.  While cell phone will be the 
primary communication tool, cell phone service is best limited with 
AT&T, Verizon, and other carriers.*
