*AARA General Meeting*

*Thursday May 5, 2016 7:00 PM *at the Red Cross Building, 101 N. Pat 
St., Scott, LA.
Anyone interested in ARES (Amateur Radio Emergency Service will meet at 
6:00 PM prior to the General Meeting.
VE Testing at 6:00 PM

*NPOTA (National Parks On The Air)*


     The AARA will participate in the National Parks On The Air with a 
Special Event on
May 7th 2016 at the Jean Lafitte Acadian Cultural Center on 501 Fisher 
Road in Lafayette,
near the Lafayette Airport and Vermilionville from 8AM until (weather 
permitting). We
plan to have our new communication trailer (AMOS II) and antenna trailer 
on site.  Come
out see ham radio in operation and get some hands on experience. We will 
be operating
on 40 & 20 meters using W5DDL and NPOTA designation HP17 .
