[AARA] Wanted: Good, reliable VHF/UHF handheld transceiver

Fellow Hams:

I am totally blind and I am looking for a*_good, reliable 
_**_*_VHF/UHF_* handheld and  base  station_*,
both with audio readout if possible.
These would be radios for 2 meters-and 440.
As I have not been in the radio loop for many years, I have no idea what 
is available.
I am looking for something which has *_audio frequency readout_* and the 
maximum of accessible
features to allow me to get the most use from them.  I am located in the 
Lafayette, LA area.
