[AARA] Donnie Haney KD5RGT - Silent Key

      Donnie Haney "KD5RGT" of Silver Creek, Mississippi became 
a/*SILENT KEY*/ on December 31, 2021 at the age of 62
due to complications of COVID 19.  He worked as a forklift operator and 
was a member of Arm Baptist Church.  He
was a member and treasurer of the Southwest Mississippi Amateur Radio 
Club <http://w5wq.net/> of Bogue Chitto, MS.
      Many amateur radio operators knew Donnie through the hobby as he 
could usually be found on 75 meters as a
alternate net control station (NCS) on the following nets:
             * Central Hurricane Net on 3935 KHz at 7:00 PM Central Time 
(Monday thru Saturday)
             * Delta 75 Net on 3905 KHz at 7:00 PM Central Time (Monday 
thru Saturday)
             * Delta 75 Net on 3905 KHz at 7:00 AM Central Time on Sunday
                 Probably some other nets that I am unaware of his 
participation.
      Donnie also was a member of numerous nets found throughout the 
mid-south and could be found checking
out the swap tables in area hamfests in Louisiana and Mississippi.
      Donnie is survived by his wife Carolyn KF5TQG, six daughters and 
one son.
      Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 7, 
2022 at Colonial Funeral Home, 323 Second St. Columbia,
MS where family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time. 
Reverend Tim Brady and Reverend Don McClellan
will officiate at the service and burial will follow at Arm Baptist 
Church Cemetery in Arm, MS assisted by Sammy Nettles,
Adam Baity, James Keyes, Kenny Gill, Bryant Gilbert, and Shawn Michael 
Nations as pallbearers.
