THIS IS A DRILL
Thursday June 14^th .
Kaboudreaux has been upgraded to a CAT 4 and slowly moves toward the
Louisiana coast. Kaboudreaux's outer rain bands begin to hammer
Lafayette and the surrounding parishes. NHC predicts Kaboudreaux to
strengthen to a CAT 5 before landfall. I-49 North and I-10 East and West
look like parking lots, contra-flow has started. EVAC's continue, but
some people fearing the traffic on EVAC routes begin showing up at local
hospitals. Red Cross opens shelters in North Louisiana, Texas and
Mississippi. The LANG are activated. Cell phone service is overloaded.
Because of the mandatory EVAC orders, stores are being asked not to
restock their shelves so people will leave the area.
Scott Police Department is reporting a Boudin and Cracklin riot at the
Best Stop. When the store owner announced that they were down to their
last 200 pounds of Boudin and 50 pounds of Cracklins about 40 people
lunged at the counter and grabbed what they could, witnesses say that is
when the fighting started. The rioters, now numbering 60 and including
men, women, and children continue fighting in the parking lot using
fist, knives, broken bottles, etc. A limited amount of gunfire was
reported. When the rioters heard the police sirens approaching, they all
hopped in their vehicles and tried to leave the parking at the same time
running into each other. One man driving a pickup truck with a camper on
the back made a high speed sharp turn in the parking lot flipping the
truck on its side causing the rear door to fly open. The man was not
injured, but when the camper door flew open about 75 chickens and 6
goats escaped. The police arrived in time to catch all but 2 of the
rioters. One of the rioters was last seen heading South in his
"Hoveround", the other rioter who headed North was dressed in a purple
raincoat and wearing a pointed hat made of duck tape, he was seen with
two chickens getting on his horse that had gold socks. Scott Menard
N5MEG hearing the gunfire coming from the Best Stop climbed his tower so
he could see what was going on. From the top of the 60 foot tower, Scott
reported seeing people chasing chickens around the Best Stop parking lot
and a man heading North with a chicken on each shoulder, in the purple
raincoat with the pointy hat made of duck tape on the horse with the
gold socks. Scott didn't think the man had anything to do with the riot,
he just assumed that the man was a little under dressed and early for
the February 1, 2013 Church Point courir De Mardi Gras.

Fearing another riot, Scott police ask the Best Stop owner to close his
store for the remainder of the day.
NHC - TS BOHICA (Bend Over Here It Comes Again) continues to organize
and follow the same path as Kaboudreaux.
The price of OIL reaches $160.00 BBL.
