[AARA] AARA and Acadiana ARES GO-KIT Day

AARA and Acdadiana ARES members are having a GO-KIT Day tomorrow 5/21/16
at the Louisiana Military Hall of Fame and Museum to commemorate Armed
Forces Day.  The museum is located at the Abbeville airport and
admission is free.

We will be operating on generator, battery, and solar power and using
portable antennas of various types.  Operations should start about 10:00
local on:
   80 meters voice ( 3910 LSB )
   40 meters voice ( 7285 LSB )
   20 meters voice ( 14.325 USB )
   20 meter digital ( 14.070 USB PSK-31)
   2 meter repeater 147.060 (+) PL-103.5 Vermilion Parish ARES
All HF frequencies are +/- QRM except 20 meter digital. Let us know if
you are a LA ARES member when you make contact with us. Operations
should end about 15:00 local.

In addition to the above operations, Glen KF5FNP  will call a LA ARES
Region 4 HF digital net on 3596 USB +1500 using MT63-1KL.  Alt.
frequency will be 7080 USB +1500 MT63-1KL.  Both freq.+/- QRM. The net
will start at 9:30 local and run till.  Depending on time and checkins
we will try and send Hurricane and ICS forms to test FLMSG.  This
digital net is open to anyone who is licensed for the frequency, you do
not have to be a LA ARES Region 4 member to checkin.

All are invited to come out and operate portable, just stop by to visit,
or make contact with us one of the above frequencies.
If you are able to join us to operate portable, keep in mind this is a
BYOB activity.  BRING YOUR OWN BATTERIES.
